Weep not for me though I am gone i nto that gentle night.

Grieve if you will, but not for long u pon my soul's sweet flight.

I am at peace, my soul's at rest t here is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed fo r all those many years.
There is no pain, I suffer not, t he fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts, i n your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath, r emember not the strife.

Please do not dwell upon my death, b ut celebrate my life.

Squish

Today we laid to rest my best friend. Squish deserves to be remembered. He had horrible gas, ate his own poop, groaned like and old man, liked to hump things, and was incredibly lazy. In short, he was my doggy doppelganger. I love you buddy and I hope I was the human you needed because you were the friend we needed. - Steve and Melissa

Lacey Louise

On June 9, 2012, Lacey marched herself into my apartment and didn’t leave. I always felt like she picked me to take care of her in her golden years. That’s why I started calling her my Golden Girl. She got her middle name immediately when a friend commented that this dog looked like a Louise. Her tag might read Lacey Louise but I nearly always called her Lovey. I was never sorry she wasn’t a puppy when she came to live with me. I enjoyed every day with her. She was a spunky little dog, always willing to explore despite limited vision. She did not play with toys. Her preferred hobbies were licking, sniffing and napping under my desk. I will miss her. Thanks for helping me find her. Darenna

Mr. Chips

Today with much sadness and heavy hearts we had to say goodbye to our belovedBoston Terrier, Mr. Chips. We adopted him from Arizona Boston Terrier Rescue in November 2007; he was estimated to be around 11 years old at that time, and we are so grateful we were able to have him for that long. I initially was going to just foster him but he wiggled his way into my heart and quickly became a "foster failure" and became a member of our family. I don't know much about where he came from, other than he was dropped off at the pound in Tucson in '07; AZBTR stepped in and had him boarded at a veterinary clinic until someone from Phoenix could foster him. When I got him, there was a little note from a vet tech named Ashley attached to his collar saying if it didn't work out with us she would be more than happy to keep him, as she already had become very attached to him! He lived a good happy life with his human family and his canine brother Meaty and sisters Belle, Mabel and LuLu. We are going to miss him terribly, and I know for a long time I will expect to see him begging for Mini Wheats in the morning and whatever we have for dinner in the evening, and I would give anything to be able to give him whatever he wanted off my plate just to have him back again. We will see him one day at the Rainbow Bridge. Until then, goodbye sweetie; we were so lucky to have you and we love and miss you very much! Rest in peace my little frosted faced boy.

Annie Belle
It is with much sadness that we have to let you know our wonderful Annie Belle passed over the rainbow bridge September 15th, 2012 after having been sick since the middle of June. She is now with her brother Beau and big brown sister Ginger. They started out a friendship together in May 2010 when we brought Beau home and the following weekend brought Annie Belle home. Together Beau and Annie taught Ginger what it meant to be a dog. Ginger loved having new friends to sleep with, play with and just hang out with. We will never forget the joy they brought our family and it just does not seem fair that their time here was so short. Now together again they will sleep together, play together and just hangout together. We will think of them often and know they remember all of the love they brought us too. We also want to thank the AZ Boston Terrier Rescue for all of the great things they do for all of the doggies in need. Your love, kindness and care has saved many babies in need and given them a second chance. Without your efforts many of these babies could not go on to bring so much joy to all of the families that adopt them. So for that thank you! Thank you for everything we think of you often, Michael, Kimberly, Abigail and Rose

Benny
Benny came into our lives on the heels of adopting another BT, Bugsy. Since Bugsy's passing in 2009 Benny became the alpha male (only because there were no other dogs in the house). He ruled the roost until his heart gave out suddenly and somewhat unexpectedly on June 6, 2012. He was the friskiest 14-year-old dog we have ever seen. Benny was totally active until his final day when his long-diagnosed heart murmur got the best of him and he had a gentle passing. Benny wasn't the smartest dog on the block, but he was certainly the most loving. He loved every human that came his way, dogs he avoided. One of our cherished memories was when we visited my brother's home in Missouri. Benny smelled the real black bear pelt hanging on the wall and immediately began barking and jumping up at it. This was probably the only thing that he tried to attack in the years we shared with him, and it was a bear, no less. While on that car trip Benny made the excursion with us to nearby Graceland in Memphis, and he just loved real Memphis barbecued pulled pork! He was a loving companion who is dearly missed.
